There are several aspects related to your period that can disrupt your sleep:

 

- Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) due to its many symptoms.

- Painful periods (it's difficult to sleep when you are also in pain).

- Body temperature: when you're on your period, your body temperature increases. We need it to go down slightly to sleep well.

- The level of progesterone: it drops when you're on your period and, like many hormones, it has an impact on sleep.
